26Jan- Port Canaveral /Orlando arrive at 6:00 AMDebbie and I slept in this morning. We got a good night's sleep. After showering and getting ready the children came up and said the hotel is charging for breakfast. This was no problem but an answer to My prayer because I had been asking the Lord to help us to keep this day, the Sabbath, holly.
Harmony of the Sea, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, fits 6,780 guests total and 2,100 crew members, Harmony is now the world's largest cruise ship (There are others that claim to be larger in some ways but this one is really large and very nice)
Debbie and I slept in this morning; we had prayer together. The younger children slept in. Alex and Gavin slept in until the shuttle arrive to take us to the dock. No one ate breakfast at the hotel buffet. I thought the price was included in the room but was told that who ever booked the reservation did not include the breakfast meal. It was best this way because today is the Sabbath and I do not like having people work. We all got together before going down to the lobby and had prayer. The shuttle driver was waiting. He took us to the dock at Port Canaveral. The cruise ship is huge. There are about 6,000 passengers cruising this week. The lines were long, but we were given preferential treatment. Our paperwork was checked very thoroughly and the crew working made sure we had all the passports, tickets and notarized permission letters from each of the parents. At the end of the lines before entering the ship Marla, our Magic Jenny, took us on board. Our suite was above and beyond what we had experienced on other cruises. Debbie stayed with me in the master bedroom and Alex and Gavin took the double room. This way they can come and go when the younger grandchildren are in bed. At 3:45 PM we all went to the training if something happens and we have to abandon the ship. We had dinner reservations at 5:00 PM at the Wonderland Restaurant. It was something from Alice in Wonderland. We had 6 appetizers, (land, sea, air, fire, water and sun). There were about 5 plates of the main course, fish, chicken, stake and vegetables. The desert was a chocolate ball that melted revealing the ice cream and displays of mushrooms, apples etc. made from cakes etc. After dinner Debbie, Alex, Gavin and I went to the ice show, “Place in Time”. The other children went to get food at two other restaurants. Later we all went back to the room; the children had ordered pizza, desert etc. We had family time from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Debbie taught the lesson on the Restoration and the children all participated. Alex gave the closing prayer and she and Gavin went to the karaoke kickoff at 10:30 PM. Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed. The spiritual thought for today was to speak kind word and build each other.
