12 Noon - Sacrament meeting at Lehi 7th ward

5 PM - Monthly birthday party and dinner at Pat and Anndalyn's

Camden Hobbs 14th Birthday - Jared's 40th birthday this month; George and Laura came.  Jody called and Tyler came with Samanthia "Sam"

4:30 PM zoomed with children. Michael and Autumn were not on the connection even though we were using his zoom account.  Matthew, Beth, Rae Lynn and grand children were on line.  Patt and Reg were also on line

A thought from Brother Provenza, a member of our Bishopric in Lehi 7th Ward.

"This Lord gives us trials to help us grow and to shape us into what he

wants us to become. “Clay that has been shaped and molded may

become beautiful. And as it dries, it becomes harder."  It has two ways do dry, in the sun naturally or in the fire.  Either way it become hard and the form it had become set and to change it would mean breaking it.  My thought is to be in the image of Christ before we are put in the fire.  Then we become set in His and Heavenly Father's image.  "In the great heat of the potter’s kiln", we have the image of Christ stamped in our countenance; His seal is stamped upon us.

Alma 34:  33 And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many ^awitnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not ^bprocrastinate the day of your ^crepentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the ^dnight of ^edarkness wherein there can be no labor performed.

34 Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful ^acrisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth ^bpossess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.

35 For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become ^asubjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth ^bseal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked.

36 And this I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in ^aunholy temples, but in the ^bhearts of the ^crighteous doth he dwell; yea, and he has also said that the righteous shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out; but their garments should be made white through the ^dblood of the Lamb.

37 And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that ye should remember these things,

Alma 5:14 And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye ^aspiritually been ^bborn of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty ^cchange in your hearts?

After reading scriptures in the Doctrine and Covenants this morning and after prayer I shared this thought with Debbie.  She pointed out that the parable of the clay fits some people but others don't what to be changed or shaped with things are good and become even more set when in the heat or heard time.  They are others who humble themselves with trials come upon them and their hears are soften and they turn to the Lord.  Then there are others like Job who was righteous when he was being blessed and remained even more so in the fire when trials that came upon him.
